What we collect
We collect the personal information needed to provide dental care: your name, contact details, date of birth, health fund and Medicare details, and your dental and relevant medical history.
Health information is classified as sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and attracts a higher standard of protection than ordinary personal information.
Website enquiries
The enquiry form on this website collects only your name, contact details and general message. Please do not send medical or health details through it; we will collect those securely at your appointment.
When you send an enquiry it is emailed to the practice and a copy is kept in this website's database, so that a message cannot be lost to a mail problem. We use Resend to deliver the email, and Google reCAPTCHA to check the form is being filled in by a person rather than a machine — which means Google receives information about your browser and how you used the page. Both companies process this outside Australia.
We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to answer you and to have a record of the contact. Ask us and we will delete yours.
How we use it
To provide dental treatment, to process health fund and Medicare claims on your behalf, to send appointment reminders, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.
Who we share it with
Only where necessary for your care or where the law requires it: specialists we refer you to, dental laboratories fabricating your crown or denture, your health fund when processing a claim, and Medicare or the Department of Veterans' Affairs where relevant.
Accessing and correcting your records
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything inaccurate. Contact the practice and we will explain the process and any applicable fee.
